Acquittal secured — evidence excluded under s. 8.

A Drug Trafficking File Won on Charter Grounds.

Drug offences almost inevitably trigger Charter scrutiny. In a recent multi-kilogram trafficking matter, Kim successfully argued that police had breached s. 8 of the Charter during a vehicle search. The evidence was excluded, and the client walked free — with their record and future intact.

A First-Degree Charge Reframed at Trial.

One of 28 murder cases Kim has defended since her first in 1988. Through careful examination of the Crown's planning-and-deliberation evidence, the charge was reduced and the client received a sentence consistent with the circumstances — not the headline. Kim's philosophy: every fact matters, every witness matters, every motion matters.

Among the most serious charges a person can face, with stigma that follows long past the verdict. Discreet, careful, and unwavering representation from charge to resolution.

05

Robbery & Theft

From armed robbery to fraud and theft, Kim has tried these cases at every level. She knows the evidence the Crown relies on — and how to dismantle it.

Kim was honest with me from day one — even when the news was hard to hear. She explained every step, fought hard at every hearing, and helped me understand what was happening when nobody else would. I would not have made it through without her.
